THE INFLUENCE OF MANAGERIAL OWNERSHIP, COMPANY GROWTH, INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY SET, AND FIRM SIZE ON FIRM VALUE IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUB-SECTOR COMPANIES LISTED ON THE INDONESIA STOCK EXCHANGE FOR THE 2020-2024 PERIOD

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of managerial ownership, company growth, investment opportunity set (IOS), and firm size on firm value in the food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2020 to 2024. By utilizing a quantitative framework and secondary data from annual reports, the research evaluates how managerial equity, corporate expansion, IOS, and firm size impact Tobin’s Q, a metric representing investor sentiment regarding a firm's future potential. This research analysed 150 observations derived via purposive sampling, utilizing multiple linear regression and classical assumption diagnostics. The results show that managerial ownership, company growth, IOS, and firm size have a significant positive effect on firm value, both partially and simultaneously. These findings confirm that internal company factors are primary drivers of positive investor sentiment and value creation.
